It sounds incredulous, but there are times when we all get a fed up with our WIPs. Sometimes, we just don’t know what to crochet, despite being surrounded by yarn and hooks. When boredom strikes, our advice is to step bravely into new crochet territory, and try something new! Here are 5 ideas to help you get back into the crocheting flow.
1. Change your yarn weight, brand, or fiber
Do you love 4ply? Are you crazy for dk? It's time to break the habit and try going up a yarn size or more! Go bulky, or super bulky – a giant granny square works up super fast into a gorgeously quick blanket! Or if you only use bulky yarns, consider a lace weight for something drastically different and exciting.
If you're a Paintbox fanatic or a Debbie Bliss devotee, then switching brands is a great way to jazz up your makes. Crocheting with new yarns, and yarns with varying fiber mixes is perfect to give life to you WIPs. Acrylic fans, go for a merino blend. Wool lovers, why not try a light cotton yarn? The possibilities are endless!

We’ve all been there – the moment when you’re working on a blanket and you can’t face making another motif. Take time out and make an accessory for yourself! Bags are quick to hook, and you’ll be the envy of all your friends when you sport your new tote out shopping!
