We love free patterns: small crochet bags

Many of us are put off by the idea of crocheting afghans and other large, heavy projects in the warmer months. When the temperature spikes and you can’t bear the thought of another blanket, try Angie's favorite free crochet patterns for small bags that are perfect for gifts, wedding favors, and more.

1. Simple crochet sachet

These adorable crochet sachets are perfect for sock drawers, handing out candy at a party, and anything else where a tiny bag is completely essential. They can of course be personalized, using the perfect shade of yarn and ribbon. To crochet these babies, you'll need some Paintbox Yarns Cotton DK and Stylecraft Special DK.

4. Valentine's day gift bag

Hearts aren’t just for Valentine’s Day – this little bag would be adorable for a wedding favor or gift! It’s simple enough for beginner crocheters, and can be crocheted using any DK weight yarn. We recommend Paintbox Yarns Simply DK or Cotton DK for a great range of colors!

5. Clutch bag

Everyone needs a small go-to clutch bag and this one from Caron is perfect. Using Caron x Pantone yarn, this colorful crochet and knit clutch will be lusted over by everyone who sees it.
