Learnt to knit when I was a kid. I made underwear for my dolls (well they never came with their own, right!) & of course, scarves, which is the first thing we all do when we start out. I hadn't knitted for over 35 years but then I was in hospital at the end of 2019 for 6 weeks and I needed something to take mind off things, so I got knitting again. I did a basic patchwork blanket (took me 3 weeks) but I haven't stopped knitting since. Try to learn a new stitch or technique each time & I'm loving it.
