Product Description
Woodland Shawl by Carolyn Calderon.
This is an easy two row repeat for the main section of the shawl, followed by a larger lace area, and finishing with the final edging. The easy and repetitive stitching is comforting as you crochet along, resulting in a stunning shawl to keep for yourself or to give away to a loved one.
I used one cake of It’s A Wrap Sprinkles yarn or 623 yards. You may need two cakes if you don't make the pattern gauge. I used almost every yard of one cake.
Made with basic crochet stitches in US terminology. See pattern website for more information.

What is Being Made
The Woodland Shawl is a beautiful, colorful, lacy wrap designed by Carolyn Calderon. This crochet shawl combines ease of construction with visual appeal, making it suitable for keeping or gifting to a loved one. The finished piece features a stunning lacy design enhanced with decorative border stitching.
Craft and Technique
This is a crochet pattern classified as intermediate skill level. The Woodland Shawl is characterized by easy and repetitive stitching that creates a comforting, meditative crochet experience. The pattern incorporates lacy stitchwork throughout, finished with a decorative lacy stitch border that adds visual interest and dimension to the completed shawl.
Stitches Used
While the pattern employs lacy stitches as a primary design element, the repetitive nature of the stitch pattern makes this project accessible to intermediate crocheters. The border features a lacy stitch finish that creates the stunning final appearance of the wrap.
Materials and Yarn Requirements
The Woodland Shawl is worked with 3-ply yarn weight. The pattern uses approximately one full cake of yarn, though gauge variations may require two cakes depending on your individual tension. A crochet hook appropriate for 3-ply yarn is required. Before beginning, it is recommended to check your gauge against the pattern specifications to ensure proper yardage requirements.
