Product Description
The inspiration of this design came to me after watching a British murder mystery program. In the show, I saw a woman walking with her English Springer Spaniels across a field wearing Wellies and a barn coat, but no hat. It looked like a chilly morning in autumn, so my first thought was, “This woman needs a hat!” In my mind, the hat needed to be a simple, no-nonsense beret that would look cute on a person at any age. I wanted it to be warm and dense to keep out the cold wind, so I chose Puffin yarn knit at a tighter gauge. The garter stitch swirl at the crown adds a level of interest without being fussy.
