Roure Socks

Roure (pronounced /ˈrow.ɾə/), in my husband's native language, means oak. In the forests of this beautiful corner of the Mediterranean where we live, oaks and holm oaks abound, so I imagine it was only a matter of time before this mighty and splendid tree took root in my patterns.

When you are new to knitting, the idea of knitting a pair of socks may sound a little intimidating at first. No worries! I'm here to walk you through the process step-by-step.

Cuff down, with a reinforced heel-flap and short row heel turn.

The pattern differs for the right and left leg. Follow the instructions for both legs, unless otherwise stated. If you want to have a mirror image colorwork pattern, you can work the charts from left to right.
