Would not recommend this yarn as to get amount in a ball they have end pieces stuck in the middle not even knotted together and the yarn strands are not woven together so if you put into a ball to use it looks like fray and then so think you cannot use it. This is the Universal yarn not the other types that I have purchased which I love "Hayfield DK"
