Stairway Shawl

The large rectangular wrap is knit sideways (from short to short side) in two-color brioche and garter stitch. The stairway pattern, which is a variation of a chevron pattern, is created by switching between the two textures. The two-color design is reversible, with the lighter color dominating the front and the darker color dominating the back. The border is knit as a folded hem on the short sides and double-knit selvedge on the long sides, in reverse colors to the shawl’s main part. It is a wonderfully neat framework to the design and adds finished lines to the corners while requiring minimal finishing work.

Das große, rechteckige Tuch wird seitlich (von der kurzen Seite) in zweifarbigem Patent- und Krausrippenmuster gestrickt. Das Treppenmuster, eine Variation des Chevron-Musters, entsteht durch den Wechsel zwischen den beiden Texturen.
