ac·crete /əˈkrēt/ verb:

Grow by accumulation or coalescence.

Form (a composite whole or collection of things) by gradual accumulation.

This sock contains stripes that accrete from the top to the bottom and contrasting strands that start as short diagonals and get longer and longer. It started as a concept for a simple striped sock and, uh, accreted a few features along the way. It features a knit-purl pattern as well as vertical stranding and simple cables. A fun and addictive knit, you may find yourself accreting several pairs!
