Gabriel jacket
I saw this jacket knitted in a deep red colour, and much preferred it to the original. I had the wool in my stash, so decided to knit it for my youngest great grandson. I changed it a bit and knit the back and fronts in one piece up to the armholes. I picked the sleeve stitches up around the armholes and knit them on dpns to the bottom. It worked well, but trying to do the sheep on the sleeves was just too complicated, so I missed them off. Pleased with result anyway.

A lovely jacket for your great grandson Cheryl I imagine he’ll be thrilled having those cute sheep adorning it. I like how you adapted pattern to knit all in one to armhole then picked up stitches around armhole to knit in round down to cuff I can imagine the lambs have not been missed or a possible headache doing them from top down 😍😜💕

Lovely version. I must say I like the red colour, especially at Christmas time. I don’t miss the sheep on the sleeves, if anything I think I prefer it.

What a lucky Great Grandson.

What a fabulous knit Cheryl! Such clever adaptations.🤩 Anything that avoids sewing sleeves in works for me 😬
