Brioche and double knitting - what’s not to love? This totally 100% reversible hat has a bold flower motif repeated 3x around. The brim is worked in 2-colour brioche rib which can be worn flat, or folded to show the opposite colour pattern on the inside. The main body is completely double-knitted which gives a double-faced option with reverse colours if you turn the hat inside out. All the ‘wrong’ sides are concealed between the layers of fabric which makes sewing in the ends a breeze. Super warm and cosy - because sometimes winter doesn’t get the memo that it’s meant to be spring!

Uses approx 300yd of 8ply DK wool/merino blend yarn: 150yd in each of two contrasting colours. You will need 3mm and 4mm circular needles on 40cm cable, plus a longer cable or DPN for crown decreases. Some experience with double-knitting and brioche is probably a good idea; Italian tubular 2-colour cast on is also used.

Size fits most teen/adult heads, generously sized for a bit of slouch at the crown.
