Tranquil Moments

Socks are one of my favorite things to knit; they are small and portable, calming to knit, and snuggly to wear. Tranquil Moments are a relaxing, simple knit, but with details to keep the knitting (and wearing) interesting. An easy, comfortable texture pattern on the instep, a ribbed arch to hug your foot, and a German short row heel and rounded toe for good fit: all my favorite features!

This pattern is written for magic loop, but is easy to change if you prefer a different method.

Yarn

Approx 230 (265, 300) yd / 210 (245, 275) m of fingering weight yarn

Sample used 1 skein of Premier Serenity Sock Yarn to make size S

Gauge

32 sts and 40 rows / 4” in stockinette

Tools

Size 1 (2.25 mm) 40” circular needles (or size needed to meet gauge)
