The Willow Wind Hat

A super warm and cosy winter hat. I love the texture to this hat and, being a chunky wool, the quickness of the knit makes it a perfect gift! The pattern produces a stretchy fabric and therefore, the one size fits the average adult but it’s easy to alter the circumference and length if you would like to make a different size. The pattern includes tips on how to alter the pattern to produce a different size. The hat it knitted from the bottom up and in the round so no pesky seams to sew up. I use the magic loop method on circular needles, but this can be substituted for any method of knitting in the round you prefer.

Techniques used: knitting in the round, twisted rib (ktbl, ptbl), decreasing using k2tog, pompom attachment

Yarn: One skein of Women’s Institute Soft and Chunky Yarn is used - 90g (110m/100g)

Gauge: 10 stitches/14 rows in 10cm/4in in stst

One size fits most given the stretch of the hat and the pattern includes information on how to alter the size.
