Let me introduce the 'bee' socks! With design inspiration from this cute whimsical creature who wouldn't want to buzz around in these gorgeous crochet socks.
The socks are made bottom up starting at the toes and then working up the ankle with an afterthough heel added in at the very end. My personal favourite way of adding a heel and a very simple introduction to socks with heels.
Get your grove on with these buzzing! (I'm done with the puns now i promise!) socks and practice making a sock with a heel in a really simple way.
Requires DK yarn in yellow and black, a 4mm hook, stitch marker and a tapestery needle.
The pattern is given an intermediate rating as it requires simple shaping and the addition of the afterthough heel however i believe that this is the simplest way to add a heel and the pattern could be attempted by a beginner with some help from a crafty friend.
