This pattern was written as fingerless gloves, but can easily be transformed into mittens, or fingerless mitts. The modifications needed to make these styles are written after the instructions for each hand. No matter what finishing style you chose you will work the same set of instructions through the Thumb Gusset Decrease section, so you can cast on and get started and decide later.
