This sideways-knit serape is so simple you hardly need a pattern. Use the suggested stripe sequence . . . or come up with your own.

Yarn Approximately 3600 yards Worsted Weight yarn, used double OR Approximately 1800 yards Bulky Weight yarn

Stripe Sequence as written requires approximately:

Worsted Weight 1000 yards A 500 yards B 800 yards C 800 yards D 500 yards E

Bulky Weight 500 yards A 250 yards B 400 yards C 400 yards D 250 yards E

Since this garment is worked sideways, the seed stitch stripes are vertical.
