It's strawberry season here in the UK!
This is a really useful drawstring bag featuring a mosaic knitted strawberry, topped with garter stitch leaves. A tubular cord is threaded through eyelets to pull the top closed.
It is knitted back and forth in rows using the mosaic technique with knit and slip sts. The design is charted and I've included instructions on how to read the chart and work the mosaic technique.
Also Included are instructions and photos to show how to line the bag with fabric. The lining is optional.
The bag measures 24cm x 24cm when sewn up.
If you are using a different yarn to the one suggested, you will need approx 130m in MC, 90m in CC1 and 70m in CC2 of DK yarn.
You will need 4mm straight needles, and 3.25mm DPNs.
