Product Description
This slouchy hat was designed for sock yarn mini-skeins or left-overs as part of the fibery advent calendar by "Alte Künste". 5 colors blend together in a slip stitch pattern. Only one color is used at a time. Choose your colors according to the effect you would like – bright and contrasting colors result in a striking hat; similar colors make for a subdued effect. Why not try a gradient set?
If you have a larger left-over or a sixth color, you can optionally knit a doubled hem for extra warm ears. The crown is shaped by folding, not by decreases. This way you can concentrate on the slip-stitch pattern. Stitches are joined at the top by a 3-needle-bind-off, or as a more elaborate option, with a centered decrease line. Corners are then joined for an „envelope finish“.
