Product Description
This is a pattern for a textured loose-fitting slouch hat or beanie using scraps of different coloured yarn. This is a great stashbuster pattern!
The pattern is written out in full for an adult slouch hat, knitted flat, but options are also given for any other size and pattern combination, in the round or flat. It features a very simple slip-stitch pattern with garter stitch stripes – swapping the order of the slip-stitch rows gives a different pattern, so you can make each hat unique.
Samples were made in worsted and thick DK / 8 ply yarns, but a thinner DK or a thicker Aran yarn would also work.
Plenty of choices, quick to make and lots of fun. Warning: these hats are addictive!
