So Simple Shawl

This shawl is pretty much as simple as it can be. I first made it to use a skein of pretty but quite fine yarn which came with a shawl knitting pattern that was driving me mad because it involved so much counting to get right that it could only be done if I was alone and in silence with no interruptions, so I was never going to finish it! I undid it and made up this simple crochet pattern to use up the yarn – it still made a rather small shawl. You can use any thickness of yarn you have, any colours, plain or shaded. 100g of DK is enough for a small shawl, the black one, enough for your shoulders, 200g of Aran makes the grey one shown.
