Snowflake Socks

The Snowflake Socks are knit from the toe up with colourwork on the foot and leg, and a texture stitch in between. The pattern has a wedge toe and a Wrap and Turn short row heel, however the heel and toe can be changed to your own choice. They are knit using the magic loop method but can be adapted to suit dpns. The pattern has written instruction and charts for the colourwork.

Sizes: S 64sts 8”/20cm foot circumference M (72 sts) 9”/23cm foot circumference Foot and leg length can be easily adjusted. (Guide Note: the larger stitch count is to accommodate the colourwork. The 72 stitch equates to how a 64 stitch sock would usually fit.)

Needles: 2.25mm (US 1) circular needles/dpns 2.5mm (US 1.5) circular needles/dpns for colourwork (or size needed to get gauge).

Yarn: Any 2 contrasting colours in 4ply sock yarn. Main colour - 50g / Contrast colour - 25g

Gauge: 36sts per inch x 44 rows per 4 inches using 2.25mm needle

36 sts per inch x 40 rows per 4 inches using 2.5mm needle for colourwork
