Simple Spring Shawl

This sideways garter stitch shawl is reminiscent of the Sweet Summer Shawl: light, airy, and quick to knit. It is completely reversible and takes just one skein of sock or fingering yarn. Cast on twelve stitches, work the easily memorized pattern, increase until half the yarn is used and then decrease back down to the same number of stitches that were cast on. So easy!

Size is adjustable, based on how much yarn is used. Weigh the yarn before starting, weigh it periodically while working the increase section, and when half of the yarn is left, begin the decrease section.
