Product Description
Sailing By matinee jacket pattern is offered in two sizes, to suit babies aged 0 – 12 months.
It is knitted in DK yarn and features a seawave border and a little sailing boat.
I have knitted my jacket using a DK Acrylic yarn for ease of washing but the pattern is suitable for most DK yarns of choice.
The jacket is knitted in the flat on single point needles, in five separate pieces up to the yoke where the pieces are then joined and the yoke knitted in one piece. Minimal stitching is required for finishing the garment (side and sleeve seams).
The jacket fastens with three small buttons.
The main stitches used in the pattern are Garter stitch & Stocking stitch. Row by row instructions are provided throughout, including the seawave border and the boat motif.
