I have always loved mandalas, especially crocheted ones: not only can you be creative with colour combinations, but you can also create beautifully textured, 3-dimensional pieces, which cannot be obtained on paper, for example. The crochet rug in this pattern is rather simple, yet I believe the colour combination I chose makes it particularly impressive. You can choose your favourite colours and do the same! A rug is always useful and adds a charming touch of life to every room. Enjoy!

I have just started to crochet this rug in XL ribbon yarn, love the way it crochets up quickly. I am a beginner and have found the patten for the Mandala rug a little challenging. Have had to unravel a fair few times. It would have been good for a couple of photos of how the yarn is being used within the pattern for guidance. The only photos are of the fully finished rug. That being said I am happy with my rug so far.
