Owlets in the old oak tree

I used Hayfield Bonus Aran in Barley, this is a 400g ball and you will ony need 40g but any Aran yarn can be used as tension isnt critical.

This tea cosy will fit a 6 cup teapot but can be made larger or smaller by altering the size of your needles or using a different thickness of yarn.

The cosy body tree bark effect is created using a chart but a plain cosy body can be made instead.

You will also need : 2 pairs of 6mm safety eyes or beads. Clear adhesive (if using safety eyes) 10g toy stuffing. Small amounts DK in red,camel,sandstorm and light brown for owlets and toadstools. Small amounts of DK in white and green for embroidery. Optional black and red embroidery thread for ladybirds
