Owl beanie

I designed and knit this beanie for the sister of a friend as a birthday present. She loves it! And I love it, too... Who could resist this lovely owls? There are owls all around this beanie and at the crown there are seven owls. As she has a head circumreference of 57 cms I used 3.5 mm needles instead of 3.00 mm needles and only knit the crown of the beanie with the smaller needle size of 3.00 mm. Note: For smaller heads use 3.00 mm (about 54 cm head circumrefernce) throughout the beanie. But the bigger size will also fit smaller heads. It will then be more toque-like. It's completely knit with 4-ply sock yarn of different manufactureres.
