All-over texture keeps this one interesting! The fine waffle stitch traps warmth without being heavy to wear, and you can make it in one colour for a wardrobe essential or two colours for extra fun.
Written for 5ply sport weight or 4ply fingering weight (two sets of instructions included) and, a chart has been added for the crown section too.
When choosing colours for your hat, be aware that you can get two very different-looking hats simply by reversing the colours used in each.
Uses approx 270yd of 5ply sport weight wool/merino or 300yd of 4ply fingering. For two-colour versions, MC will use 2/3 and CC will use 1/3 of your yardage total. You will need 3.5mm & 4.5mm needles for the sport version, or 3mm and 3.5mm for the fingering option; on 40cm cables. Also DPNs or a longer cable to magic loop the crown.
Size will fit most adults/teens, and can easily be shortened or extended in height to suit personal preference.
