Malachite Lace Shawl

I've always been captivated by malachite. There’s something completely entrancing about those rich bands of green.

The Malachite Lace shawl was designed to feature the distinct beauty of the hand-painted Fleurville yarn by The Yarn Collective, bringing the complex, saturated tone to center stage. Contrasting stripes in two colors mimic the light and dark layers of stone.

The shawl begins with a garter tab at the center top. Then, four increases every right-side row create the triangle shape. Bands of stockinette stitch, contrast garter ridges, and simple lace alternate through the body of the shawl. The same lace motif is carried through the deep lace border in the contrast color.
