Laneside

Laneside is a large triangular shawl, knitted on the bias, using two natural shades of Alpaca 8 ply yarn from Adagio Mills. The shawl features graphic bands of mosaic slipped stitch knitting, using just one colour per row, to create a visually striking, high-contrast shawl.

Laneside is worked in one piece from the top right corner across and downwards, using increases, decreases, and short rows to create an asymmetric shape.

Yardage Approximately 770 yards / 612 metres of DK / 8 ply yarn: MC - 520 yards / 475 metres; CC - 150 yards / 137 metres.

Gauge 17 sts and 34 rows per 4 inches / 10 cm in garter stitch after blocking. Gauge is not crucial but a different gauge will alter the finished size, drape and amount of yarn required.
