This lovely shell pattern creates a vintage feel without being too frilly - which I love. I was working on a shawl/scarf using this stitch and it occurred to me that it would look equally lovely in other items and so this is the first in a series of Lacy Shell items for the home.
The stitch is easy to do and has a simple 2 row repeat that creates the offset shells.
Use a single colour or change colour every round, this coaster will be a charming vintage touch for your home or a pretty gift for a friend.
