This cosy sweater is a modern take on a classic Aran. It uses a combination of lace and cables with a double moss stitch border in a sophisticated charcoal grey yarn. Designed to be oversized in style, the shaping is kept deliberately simple. Pattern includes both written and charted instructions for the cable pattern.
To fit a bust from 81 cm/32 in up to 117 cm/46 in
Designed with approx. 20 - 30 cm/7 3/4 - 11 3/4 in of positive ease for an oversized fit.
Model is a UK size 12 with a 92 cm/36 1/4 in bust and wears a size medium.
Tension/Gauge
18 sts & 22 rows to 10 cm/4 in over cable patt using 5 mm/US 8 needles.
Most aran/worsted weight yarns will work with this pattern provided it can be knitted to the stated tension.
