Kufiyah Placemat

Kufiyah Placemat is a beautiful and easy table decoration, its inspired by the Palestinian Kufiyah which is a traditional headdress with black and white pattern.

The pattern is Stranded knitting Fair Isle where black and white yarns are used per round and yarn is carried for a limited number of stitches across back of the work.

You can use any yarn that match the gauge

MATERIALS 50 g of Alize Diva , 100 % Microfiber Acrylic, 350 mt per 100g ball, color White (W) 50 g of Alize Diva , 100 % Microfiber Acrylic, 350 mt per 100g ball, color Black (B)

Circular knitting needles of size 4 mm/US 6 , 40 cm/16’’ long

TENSION 20 sts and 24 rows to measure 10x10 cm/ 4”x 4” using 4 mm/US 6 needles in stockinette stitch double stranded knitting (take two strands and use them as one strand when you knit )
