Hanging UFO basket

This is a crochet pattern to make a UFO basket that can be hung, from the wall or ceiling.

This pattern uses US terminology.

It is an intermediate pattern that involves starting with a magic ring, double crochet increase, double crochet decrease, attaching pieces, as well as FLOs and BLOs.

The basket itself should be about 12" by 12". It is 4" high on its own, but stretches about 24" high when hung. (You can easily make this as long or short as you want by altering the length of the hanging chains)

Alien is not included in the pattern. (We got it at the International UFO Museum Gift Shop in Roswell, NM) (The alien’s name is Loopy)

I used Loops & Threads Soft Classic, but Red Heart Super Saver should work just fine.
