FUZZY TOTS: 12 tiny squirrels all made from one basic pattern. They are great fun to create from colourful remnants of yarn then decorated with tiny buttons, beads and narrow ribbon. Fantastic little fund raisers at Christmas fairs and bazaars.
SIZE: 7cm (3in)
YARN for SQUIRRELS : Small amounts of double knitting yarn (USA use light worsted/Australia - 8 ply).
YARN for TAILS: Eyelash yarn is recommended or Christmas tinsel for a really festive look.
NEEDLES: Pair of 2.75mm and 3.25mm needles (US sizes 2 and 3).
This pattern was created and written by knitwear designer Wendy Phillips for the Westmorland Red Squirrel Society which is a British Registered Charity (No.1144416). All proceeds from the sale of this pattern will be used by the charity to help maintain a healthy population of red squirrels in South East Cumbria (English Lake District).
