These mitts are knit in the round using magic loop. Both mitts are knit the exact same, meaning the front and back of the mitts are the same.
I wanted a nice simple mitt that uses sport weight yarn that was equally easy to knit and easy to wear. Great for self-striping or solid yarns. Hope you enjoy these mitts as much as I do.
Self-striping sample was knit size large with 50g Must Stash Yarns Sport ‘Dark Side EPV’. Solid sample was knit size small with 38g Woolberry Fiber Co Sport ‘It’s Bred’.
Materials:
Yarn: 35-60g (115-197 yds) sport weight yarn
US #1/2.25mm 32” circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge
darning needle
stitch markers
waste yarn
Gauge:
30 sts and 40 rnds = 4”/10 cm in st st in the round on US #1/2.25mm needles
Sizes:
Small (Medium, Large)
Approximately measuring 6.4 (6.9, 7.5)”/16.3 (17.5, 19)cm in circumference.
To fit with 0.5-1”/1.3-2.5cm of negative ease.
