I like to think of an aran shrug as a wearable blanket. This Field of Stars Shrug is worked in Tunisian crochet, with added texture in the form of small stars. Blocks of colour add interest. The shrug is made in one piece, a large rectangle, which is then folded in half along its length and joined at the ends to make cuffs. The shrug has a honeycomb stitch border to prevent curling, and is finished with a simple double crochet (US single crochet) edging. Pattern is written in English and uses UK terms.
