Product Description
Fidelity - faithfulness to a person, cause or belief, demonstrated by continuing loyalty and support. I chose this name as the process I went through to remain true to my vision reminded me of Penelope undoing her weaving every night to stave off the advances of her suitors in a bid to stay faithful to Odysseus.
Fidelity is a top down shawl approximately three times as wide as it is deep, featuring 3 different cable sections and a mesh section (all charted) separated by Vikkel (lateral) braids.
The pattern includes full written instructions and also links to tutorials for the braids.
The samples used Cascade Yarns Ultra Pima which is DK 100% cotton, 220 yards (201 m)/100 grammes. The shawl could be made in one main colour and one braid colour.
Main colours: 1: 220 yards (201 m); 2: 175 yards (160 m); 3: 210 yards (192 m); Braids: 110 yards (100.5 m)
