The END OF SUMMER Sweater is a breezy, slightly transparent linen sweater. It has a loose fit, sits beautifully casual, and is the perfect choice for late summer. The sweater has a super-simple design, requires only a few techniques, and is therefore well-suited for beginners.
The END OF SUMMER Sweater is worked top down. Front and back are worked flat, down to the underarms, starting with the back, after which the front is knitted directly onto back part. The body is worked in the round in stockinette stitch. For the sleeves, stitches are picked up along armholes and then the sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch in the round. Finally, stitches are picked up along the neckline, to create a neckline border and this border is worked in ribbing, as are the sleeve cuffs and bottom border of the body.
