The Droolworthy Detachable Bib Sweater features a bib that simply buttons onto the neckline and blends into the design of the sweater. Multiple bibs can be made in matching or contrasting colours to protect the sweater, by enabling more wears between washes.

The sweater itself is a simple, classic A-line shape, featuring side slits and garter stitch panels in both the body and sleeves. It is a seamless knit worked in one piece in the round from the bottom up and is suitable for a beginner who can knit in the round.

Instructions are given for five sizes in both the sweater and the bib (newborn - 3 months, 3 – 6 months, 6 – 12 months, 12 – 18 months and 18 months – 2 years). The pattern is fully written out and a detailed schematic diagram is included.

The sweater is knitted in sport weight or a light DK yarn. The bib can be knitted in the same yarn, or a cotton/cotton blend for a more moisture absorbent garment.
