Cold Moon Waves | Crochet Cowl Pattern

'Cold Moon Waves' is a simple and elegant cowl. It features a ripple pattern of the ocean waves throughout the cowl with a decorative snowflake moon applique on one side.

While I was designing this cowl pattern with a wavy ripples pattern, the idea to add a moon to the waves suddenly popped up in my mind, then came the idea of creating a snowflake and before I knew it, I had a snowflake full moon over my cowl. It is funny how all of these ideas form and work together.

Suggested Yarns:

For the cowl: You will need about 1 oz(80-90 yards) of Aran weight / 10 ply ( 8 wpi) yarn in 2 colors – 70-75 yards of main color and 10-15 yards of contrasting color to make this cowl.

For the applique: You will need about 10- 12yards of Aran weight / 10 ply ( 8 wpi) yarn.
