Catfish Whimsie

Is it a CatFish? Is it a MerCat? It’s just a little whimsical character to keep your fingers busy while deciding on your next serious knitting project.

The instructions are written for Magic Loop, and I recommend a sock-toe cast on to Cast-On and kitchener stitch to Bind-Off. However, the pattern includes a full chart which can be adapted by you for double pointed needles or flat knitting. The face and body details are embroidered with duplicate stitch. You’ll also need a bit of fiberfill for stuffing.

The result in worsted weight yarn is an 8" tall catfish whimsie that’s the perfect size for little hands, and a fun way to use small bits of scrap yarn.
