Product Description
I wanted to create a pattern that would be a little bit of an adventure!I love the challenge of mosaic knitting, and I wanted to give my students a chance to explore it in a way that felt exciting, achievable and genuinely useful. But, as always with my designs, there had to be a story behind it too.
My children and I have always loved castles, especially those ancient, windswept places that seem to belong in a fairy tale. Add a little snow, some dramatic stonework and a healthy dose of imagination, and Castles in the Snow was born!
The pattern also gives us the opportunity to explore a few other techniques along the way, including welts and I-cords. These can feel a little daunting at first, but they’re fantastic skills to have in your knitting toolkit—and I love finding ways to sneak a new challenge into a project without it feeling overwhelming.
So this isn't just a hood to keep you cosy. It's a little knitting adventure: a chance to play with colour, texture, shaping and techniques
