Berlin Cowl

We named the Berlin Cowl after the beautiful but gritty city Berlin, which we used to visit every summer as children.

The Berlin Cowl also uses worsted weight yarn, creating a dense, warm fabric that will keep you cozy! The pattern works best in a tonal-dyed or solid-coloured yarn. Try to avoid variegated or really busy yarns, as the various colours and speckles will hide the beautiful stitch pattern.

As we wrote this pattern for worsted weight wool yarn, the cowl will have some structure and can almost stand up on its own. If you prefer a softer cowl with more drape, use a yarn with different fibre, like alpaca.

The Berlin Cowl is crocheted sideways and then seamed. All stitches are worked in back loop only (BLO).
