A crochet pattern for a Sun Hat or Winter Hat. Includes 7 sizes. The brim works perfectly for keeping hot sun rays or snowflakes off the face. Tabs are worked into the main body but the pattern can be worked without the tabs, just work a straight SC round instead of working the tab round. Flower instructions are included plus how to make a smaller and a larger fuller ruffled flower.
Hat works up well in both Medium Worsted Weight cotton or woolly yarn. Aran for Britain, 10 ply for Australia. Uses a 4 mm crochet hook USA G/6, Britain 8. Mostly SC [ for Britain substitute the SC with your Double Crochet ]. Work should be on the tighter side, especially when using cotton yarn.
Pattern is written in English using standard American terms. Step by step color coded instructions with lots of photos. If there are any questions, I am always available.

This pattern was easy to understand and if I had read that it should be worked with Aran weight yarn it might have fitted my great grandson rather than only being big enough for a small teddy bear. Using the yarn I had to make a large adult sized hat for a seven month old baby. Taught me a valuable lesson. However the second hat I did fits him well. I’ve since made him one to wear at his first rugby match in Leicester Tigers colours
