Product Description
This chunky aran lace baby blanket is a modern take on the classic lace baby blanket. It features a Japanese lace pattern that has been adapted to blend continuously into a garter stitch border and central panel.
The lace pattern is easy to work and is both charted and fully written out. Instructions are also included for neat selvedge edges. All measurements are given in both metric and imperial units.
The blanket is worked in Aran weight (10ply) wool on 5.5 mm (US 9, UK 5) needles, but can also be worked in a wool blend, acrylic or cotton that gives a similar gauge (17 st and 23 rows to 10 x 10cm).
Four baby sizes are included: small cot (70 x 90cm, or 28 x 35 inches); large cot (90 x 110cm, or 35 x 43 inches); bassinet/stroller (55 x 70cm, or 22 x 28 inches) and square receiving blanket (76 x 76cm, or 30 x 30 inches).
