Product Description
PATTERN NOTES: This precious panda is worked flat in one piece. The knitted ears, tail, muzzle and black eye-patch backgrounds are sewn on. I use shanked buttons for the eyes and nose. I worked my panda in black and white using intarsia for the belly and back.
SKILLS REQUIRED: Cast on, bind off, increasing, decreasing, sewing and seaming, filling and shaping, seed stitch, ( [ k1, p1 ] across. On the next row, knit the purl sts, purl the knit sts ), intarsia ( color blocks )
YARN: Red Heart worsted (364 yds/333 m in 7 oz/193 g) MC: Black, 65 yds/60 m CC: White, 65 yds/60 m
KNITTING NEEDLES: US 6 ( 4 mm ) circular needle for working flat
EXTRAS: Yarn needle, polyester fiber fill, 2 shank buttons 3/8" ( 1 cm ) for eyes, 1 shank button 1" ( 2.5 cm ) for nose.
FINISHED SIZE: 10 inches tall ( 25 cm ) by 8 inches ( 20 cm ) stuffed. Gauge is not important.
