Product Description
Algae are truly beautiful. Often found in bodies of water, they are also sometimes found surviving in more challenging environments such as ice and snow so why not knit your own algae filament as an example of fortitude for when your own life gets tough?
This Algae Filament knitting pattern gives you clear step by step instructions to make your own botanist’s treat. This pattern only involves knitting flat and is suitable for a beginner/intermediate knitter.
What you will need: 2 knitting needles (US2/2.75mm or as per tension advice), 10g green yarn per algae filament (e.g. Sirdar Snuggly DK 483 ‘Whizz’), Two or more black toy safety eyes (6mm), Polyfil toy stuffing, 1 tapestry needle for finishing
Skills used: Casting on and off, Increasing and Decreasing
Stitches used: Stocking stitch
