Valentine Candy Hearts mosaic square & Bonus Chart

This pattern is for an overlay mosaic crochet square featuring Valentine's Conversation Candy hearts which can be used in other types of projects, such as blankets, pillows, satchel bags, table mats, etc.

BONUS CHART included for the Anti-Valentine’s hearts square, just for fun!

This PDF includes full written row-by-row instructions for the pastel hearts square, along with a chart & all X’s marked.

Any yarn or hook will work, depending on the desired size of the finished square. I used yarn weight of 4 with a 5.5 hook, which creates a square of 13.5” x 13”.

For the 4 color heart square, you will need 1 background color of yarn (I used white), and of course the 4 colors of your choice for the hearts. This is a great way to use up scraps! If you use medium weight yarn and a 5.5mm hook, you will need approx. 2 oz of the background color (100 yds), and .5 oz each of the 4 heart colors (25 yds each).
