Techniques and Construction

The primary construction method for Strand of Pearls is garter stitch, which forms the main body of the scarf. Garter stitch is created by knitting every row, producing a reversible, textured fabric with horizontal ridges that is equally attractive on both sides. This classic stitch provides excellent drape and structure, making it ideal for scarves.

The defining design feature is a decorative lace edging that runs along the perimeter of the scarf. One skein in Bluebell colorway was used, totaling approximately 322 yards (294 meters). This blend offers warmth, softness, and durability while maintaining excellent stitch definition.
