He promised to pick the stars from the sky for you but you are still impatiently tapping your foot? Wait no longer and start making you own stars right now! They will brighten your days (and nights) with their twinkling loveliness. Since all stars are different I’ll give you ideas for variable sizes. They are perfect to stash down your leftovers from the occasional sock-frenzy and are real quick-knits.

Stars are worked flat and from the points to the inside, where the points are joined in the round. Make two and sew them together.

What you need: – 5 double-pointed needles (dpn) in the size fitting to your selected yarn (I used Fingering / 4 ply (14 wpi) and 2,5mm needles for the stars in the pictures) – Approx. 10g of yarn of your choice – Fiberfill to stuff the star – Tapestry needle
